Jazz Night at World Chess Club Berlin with Gur Liraz Trio

Date: 12.04
Time: 19:30
Free entrance

Join us at World Chess Club Berlin on April 12th for a special Jazz Night with the Gur Liraz Trio. This special event goes beyond traditional chess as we'll be treated to live music from Gur Liraz, a Berlin-based jazz musician and one of Israel's rising stars in the genre.

Having moved to Berlin in 2013, Gur quickly became immersed in the city's vibrant jazz scene. With his quartet, he collaborated with singer Amanda Becker on her debut album 'You're Looking at Me'. Additionally, Gur and Amanda recorded a duet album titled 'Ask Me Now' in 2023. Gur's debut album 'Squiggles', released on May 19, 2023, under the London-based music label UBUNTU Music, showcases his compositions from this period.

During our Jazz Night, Gur will present his album 'Squiggles' with his captivating guitar trio, paying homage to the great formations of this instrumentation.
